hypothetical coil question...
« on: August 22, 2009, 06:36:05 PM »
Hypothetically, if one was looking at their coils and instead of seeing the yellow and black/white and blue and black/white current supply wires, they only saw tabs which were marked (+) and (-), could one assume that the black/white would correspond the (-) and the yellow or blue correspond the the (+) marked on the coils?

Got a replacement set of coils (3 ohm, replaceable wires) but as I get a bit dyslexic reading wiring, and knowing what means what in them, I can't really figure this out.

Switch that around.  The typical Honda wiring harness provides 12v to the coils on the black/white wire coming from the kill switch.  The blue and the yellow wires provide a path to ground via the points.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.
