Wow, Tom, I think that's the shortest intro I've seen. I have a '77 750k. I love it as well.

ok here we go I am 31 half Costa Rica half USA I was born in portland Oregon but I've never really lived there(baby years) or anywhere for more than 4or5 years I have had my 750 since 2002 I got it off a guy in middle of nowhere (valentine) Nebraska for $450 <cool dude too>, when I was in college in Seattle. After riding it back from Pierre, s.d. I took of the big prince vetter fairing and sissy bar, put some nice handle bars on left it all pretty stock.I was a member of this site before it changed. I am on the hondachoppers board too they give good tips and are pretty good folks. My bike is going to storage I need to take out and redo all the wiring it needs carbs that can stand up to the ethanol in fuel here in Houston(and run better) new head lightbrackets, rebuild forks, new rear shocks, swing arm and bushings ,rode that stock seat a long time when I didn't have a car and it was my only way of getting around Seattle I want a new seat gonna put aside the old seat and rear fender and put one of them cafe seat things on so I can be a 30 something hipster too. after riding the hell out of this bike all around Seattle I need to freshen her up she deserves it and so do I, I am over keeping it stock I am gonna have my bike with some of that new nice #$%* they got for the ol girl oh I love what changing to that 4 -1 did it sounds good and pulls better. Disk brake in the back I want a rear disk brake, #$%* a drum, basically I am doing all the modernizing I can to the bike . I keep the stock stuff (stored), but I'm gonna make her rad to ride again (hydro clutchy someday). So that is why I'm here. o people ask "why don't you get a new bike?" because a new bike wasn't made in 1978 the year I was born the way I see it me and this bike came into being at the same time and we was destine to be together. I'll never sell her; we go, grow and change together. seeing her in movies like Mad Max and Terminator as a kid made me fall for her (even Purple Rain too maybe :D) and understand that this is the coolest bike to ever roll the face of the earth.

Wow, that's much more detail. ;-) When you do the wiring, you may want to use the color coded wiring diagram I made while building a new harness for my '77:

Found this bike in completely stock condition in Feb. 08. Paid over twice what my new one cost 30 years ago. Am trying to re-create the look of the late 70's Drag Bike styling.More later. 4-2-10 It ain't stock any more and I have no idea what I am trying to create !
