That's a joe hunt magneto running off of the hilborn injection drive. As to driving on the street, no way. Way to loud
and too radical to manage on the public streets. It was built to haul a$$ in a strait line in a short amount of time.
It would lay rubber for a long long long way !

Old school street hot rod (civilized ride) vs. old school brute horsepower.

This was always one of my favorite pics.
Hard to believe this blown fuel Teson & Bernard bike wouldn't even come close to qualifying for a modern Pro Stock Bike show...  :o

If I had the cash theirs a cb900 drag bike for sale on craigslist. At $1 a cc.  Its got a air shifter and everything.  Would be a nice bike to take out to the strip every once and awhile.

Yep that's Spokane, racing in the ditch... I swear that it's the best spectator (viewing) track in the country. The seating is EASILY the closest to the strip, closer than any of the other 30+ tracks I've been to. No trackside return road to mess up bleacher placement, just dug 'em into the banks.

Now that Bucky Austin has the track, big changes (for the better) have happened. We get to run the Nostalgia FC and of course the Warhawk (Jet FC) has regular bookings, but no more of our T/F matchracing.

Air shifters on bikes are great fun, just keep the lines away from hot stuff...  ::)

Dragbikes were great fun, but I just found it easier to live with blowing up other guys much faster, far more expensive stuff...

HEY Ecosse, I'd have to take you to the fith dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstion, and it lies between the pit of mans fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.
It is the area that I call " THE CB750 ZONE " !!   :o

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

OOOH Atco Raceway....

Took my bike down that strip a few times. My father used to race there in the 60's and 70's.

We talking baddest single engined bike? Naturally aspirated? Or......

Either way looks like a nice piece of machinery.

Based on the truck in the background I would have to go with Atco  ;D

That Honda belongs to John Sands out of Columbia SC. The rider is Bob Malloy who is now one of the top riders in Top Fuel Harleys. ( 6.30 et ) Bobbys leg is in the way of you seeing the APE sticker  :-\

It is injected and ran nitro, the entire can lid and label, as they say. Best ET was 7.13 at 199 mph.

Anyone with a spare $20,000 laying around could own that piece of drag racing history.
