If I had a Harley, I wouldn't soon....
« on: August 26, 2009, 07:21:33 AM »
There is not a Harley alive that I wouldn't dump for this deal.....
It goes a bit like this:

http://burlington.craigslist.org/mcy/1341343882.html

I would like to trade my completely restored 69 mach 1 mustang for a Harley Davidson preferably a late model touring class. Might consider an antique harley as well for my mustang and cash.

The mustang has recently been appraised legitamately for $43,000 and is the same car that many people across the country are asking $60,000 plus for, and the appraiser concerd that to duplicate this car, you would have in excess of $60,000 plus a couple years of labor and chasing parts!!

I currently have the original North Carolina title for it. it came up here 16 years ago and sat in a garage on jack stands for 15 of those years!! this car has never been rusty and has all original body panels!!

I have room to store a motorcycle but not a car at this point(my storage is soon to run out)!

NO DISSAPOINTMENTS!!! This car is brand new from bumper to bumper!!!

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE!!!!

Wow, if a had a Harley close in value to that sweet ride, I'd trade it in a second.

Very, very nice.

to me there is no other mustang worth owning, unless you paid me to. Then I would sell it to some other person that over values the mustang and buy something worth my time. Sorry just not a rustang lover.

At least I do not expect people to like the same cars I like, allow me the same freedom.

Not to divert the the thread, but the title caught my attention. I was on my way to get more paint (no, not a bike project  :'() and I had to drive by the local Harley dealer. Out front was parked, as an advert. was a "vintage" DOHC with a hand painted sign saying, "Cash For Two Wheeled Clunkers."  :)

I have an old FLH shovelhead that I would trade him straight accross for!   That is a nice mustang (as far as mustangs go), and my bike is a "touring bike".

Not a whole lot of difference between the older Mustang and Camaro, as far I could tell.  Each had special models I would give up garage space for.

I finally bought an '08 Mustang convertible last year, nicest car I have ever owned.  Had a Camaro convertible been available, I might have looked at one.  The best dealer and independent mechanic I have found around here both deal in Fords, so I stick with both of them.

Definitely.

Your allowed your opinion.

As far as collector cars go...69 was not the only year.

My druthers would be a big block 68 fastback.....was never a fan of the 69's myself.

That's the exact car that my dad bought when he graduated from West Point in '69, right before my parents got married.  He traded it a few years later for a family car. :'( :'(

My thing is I have never liked the ford styling except that year of stang. Personal prefs but I would never collect em myself but then there are few cars I would do that with.

My sister had a new Mach 1 just like that one only blue.  Nice car.  Even let me drive it a few times.  Sold it after 1 year to pay for nursing school.  Our aunt bought it and ran it head-on into a Chevy Caprice after about 3 years.
