Been Prepping To Do My Super Hawk Build
« on: August 28, 2009, 10:14:54 PM »

No, No photos yet. I'm doing a mock up to see just how I want to go with the Super Hawk, been gathering some bits here and there and wanted to show another one that is pretty inspirational to me. 8)  I can see these photos in a larger version over on the 305.com forums and troied to post them in a larger size, but was not to be.

Hopefully, I'll be at the point to where I can start getting serious about starting to put this one together before long AND, I'm ALWAYS looking for INSPIRATIONAL photos, so if ANYONE has seen some out there, let's see em'. I'm OPEN to suggestion as well. Even though I don't plan to use it on THIS one, I've even managed to pick up on a nice 66' CB77 speedo/tach instrument for a decent price AND, it was off of EBAY! :o ;)

I'm particularly liking the way the gas tank panel were done. They are supposed to be chromed, but finding them in good co ndition without paying a hefty price, is rare. I ALSO like keeping the "Minimun Look" and This one looks like there was an effort to keep it's looks to a minimum as well. For an exhaust system, I am leaning toward either a CL set of pipes, (that are rusted on the end so, it won't matter if I cut them) that I want to put megaphones on there and use or a set of stock pipes with megaphones on them. On this bike (I may end up with enough parts to consider another one as well), I want to use a set of CB450 gauges with 2 mounting different Honda brackets, which will move the gauges out some and give them a slight tilt, for better visibility.

                                                                                                         All for now, Bill ;)
