Wow...I could have pushed the bike home!

Actually if the CBR was already sold I may have pulled the trigger...it's not so much the out lay of the money but the pit of money that the project becomes, especially if you want to do it right.

P.S. still got any bikes? Always interested in people to ride with....

I wish. Maybe one day I'll own my dream bike, a CBX, but I doubt it. I'm looking for a dual sport touring thing like a KLR650. Insurance is so ridiculously expensive for the amount I ride, it's not even worth it. Nobody does seasonal insurance.

I have a set of Shelby-Dowds on a 1974 Yamaha 650 that has been in the family since 1974, the SDs were put on in the fall of 1975.  I think they were available to dealers in late 1974 or early 1975.  The rear disc brake was a selling point in the early 70s.

My 76 XS 650 has "Pentagram" wheels(5 spoke). I'm not sure who made them. but they also have painted inner beads like the SD's do.

The SD's and HA's for Yamaha's must have been a very low production wheel. I have never seen any of the 6 or 7 spoke mags for the Yamaha's (other than the stock 7 spoke Yam mags).

This link is the only place I have found anything on the "Pentagram " wheels
