Just came across that when searching for some other info on the 550 and thought it was interesting.  I wonder how long this guy screwed around with the points and timing plate before he figured out that the "expert" was full of it, if he ever did.

Yeah.  At least here if/when someone gives a bad answer there are others who will let you know.  On that website the bad advice just stays there as if it were gospel, with no option for feedback from other readers.
