hesitating @ 4000rpm
« on: September 01, 2009, 07:11:35 AM »
ok, I've been dealing with this for a bit now. Bike runs pretty well but, when I'm cruising along easy on the gas at 4000rpm it starts to break up on me a bit. what could cause this? I have no air leaks, new boots, valves adjusted correctly, timing good, all new plugs wires and coils,  dyna ignition.

Might have to bump up the size of your jets.
Someone on here might have the same setup and be able to help you.

A plug chop at 4000 would tell you what is going on.

Sounds like your Air/fuel ratio is off.
+1 on examining your jetting.
i would move the needles to see where it runs better to get an understanding if its a lean or rich condition.
Or just do the plug chop like advised.
