I posted bike week on the calender for an event and it was removed - does anyone have any info?

You are allowed to post events.  Not sure when or why the bike week post was removed.

No, it would be an admin of which there are three.  Most of the time, I am the one who removes messages from the site - mostly stuff like questions which were never answered and are so old that no one is likely to ever answer them.  It's certainly possible that I deleted the event posting - though I cannot guess why I would have done that, it could have been accidental in the course of cleaning up posts.

Re-post it if you can; it would be good to have it back on the site.

Well, I see you reposted.  There are three posts about Bike Week on the events board.  You should be able to delete your own posts, so if there is one post you prefer to remain, can you remove the others?

I deleted the four identical "Bike Week" posts in the Open Forum - left one (should be enough, we don't need to read the same thing 5 times).

I was tempted with the "three month countdown" event in the calendar but it wasn't me (honest) - that just fills up the calendar and is not necessary IMHO

Sorry guys - I just figured that a monthly reminder would give people enough time to make arrangements - I am assuming that most people would be traveling. It is a large event and early arrangements are best. It would be cool to put together a SOHC club meeting at the event, at all the big events. Thank you for taking care of this site - I do love it! - Ryan.

Thanx guys - Are most of our memeber outside the U.S.? I'm usually the only guy out of 100's sometime 1000's riding a "real bike" (SOHC)! Seems alot of the folks in the south east think a Harley is the only motorcycle! - Ryan.

Quite the opposite mate.

Jim Shea and I have spotted 59 UK members (but only about 5 or 6 who regularly post and respond to emails!)

We have our biggest local run on Sunday when about 2500 bikes will be around to deliver presents to the local Dr Barnardos home - I fully expect to see no other sohcs (except me and Jim)

We shall see.

I can hook you up with some of my stroker buddies in Florida, don't personally know any SOHC4's there. Wait until you see a bunch of HD's trying to find their way through that cloud of smoke!  ;D ;D
