cb650 exhaust boom boom
« on: September 23, 2009, 08:56:52 PM »
i went for a small ride on my 650 today. the weather was nice. i was listening to my music in 1 ear at one pint then i thought i heard something then yanked out the ear bud and didnt hear anything. i went to a local honda shop and when i was rolling up the bike sounded different, not bad different good sounding different like loud exhasut for once (i like to hear my bike actually idleing for once). i proceeded to leave and then once i came up to one light there were some hot babes in the car next to me, i had to do the right thing so i cracked my throttle a few times to get their attention. then the light turned green and i took off, after about 20 seconds the bike got reall loud and i pulled over into a gas station to see what i just #$%*ed up on my bike. i look at the exhaust collars and out of all 4 collars there are supposed to be 2 bolts on each one. well there was 2 on cylinder 2 and 3 then one on the other 2 but the only ones left were begining to back off and were close to not being there quickly tightened them down and went on my merry way home. i almost had a bad exhaust boom boom today. i wonder if i rode any longer if the other bolts would start to come off. ***wipes sweat from forehead*** woo im glad that didnt happen

Uh, put the correct amount of bolts on 1 and 4. Good way to burn some valves with the headers coming loose.
No.
