1980 CB750K Help
« on: August 31, 2009, 05:16:48 pm »
Hi, Folks. I wanted first to thank everyone on this forum for all the help the forum's been in getting my 1977 CB750F Supersport up-and-running! Couldn't have done without you all. Now, I also have a 1980 CB750K DOHC that I'm getting back on the road after much abuse by PO. I realize of course this is a SOHC forum, but I desperately need the service manual and was wondering if any of you can direct me (I can't afford to buy one) to a resource or even a forum for that bike? I have searched in vain :'(

I would certainly appreciate any and all help!!!

I'll check my pdf collection and see what I have. No promises though.

You'd think that with 10,000 different manuals I'd have a bunch of stuff..... oh well.  :D

There is a group on Yahoo Groups called
cb-750@yahoogroups.com

The might be able to help you as they focus more on the later models.  It is not a forum format, but rather an email group/listserver operation.

I think this might be a link to that group:

A freind just scanned the original honda one for me, its too big to mail butI'll burn you a cd for the postage from UK (about $6)
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

The most awesome site on the net for dohc honda stuff, though they don't specifically deal with K or C models as stated in their mandate, is:
http://www.cb1100f.net/
There are PDFs of the 750, 900, and 1100 supersport models there, (which have content about c, k, and even sc nighthawk models)and they have links to a group that specifically deals with the C models and to some extent the K models as well, let me dig for it...

If the CBF supersporter site can't help you, then the custom people probably can. I'd say if you're a member here and you have a dohc honda then you should be on one or both of these other sites as well. Good hunting. And nice choice of bikes I might add.
