my new bike
« on: September 03, 2009, 03:35:51 PM »
Well i guess this is the perfect post to use as an introduction.
I took the MSF course in june and got my liscense soon after.
a couple weeks ago i sold my second car and started looking for a bike seriously.

2 weeks ago i found this bike on craigslist.  I got it for a fair price.

now i just got home after riding it home.

I like it but it needs a little maintnance.   It needs a new muffler atleast, but maybe a new exhaust.  it also needs the chain replaced.

but here are some pics to appease you all

Nice bike, I like the later triple disc models.

Greetings and congratulations. I'm sure you've learned a lot from your course. The rest comes from experience. Just be very observant and ride within your limits.

Bike looks good. Low mileage and taken care of?  I'm kinda partial to the Super Sport. What's with the muffler?? Only problem with replacing it is you're not going to find a stock Honda one or it will be difficult at best and you may not find a decent one. Be prepared to shell out some dough for a full system. I went with a Kerker. Looks great and quality is very good. Other options you might consider are the pipes from Yamiya, Carpy, CycleX, MAC, and a British company that I don't recall the name. MAC used to make just a replacement muffler but it was discontinued.

Ride safe.
