my only 2 cents would be that you filled that little recess in the tank. I could have milled you a little round badge that fit in there, gave the tank some *pop* and stuff, like the old Honda S90, Black Bomber tanks.

again- just my opinion and I dont know what your intention is for the tank.

Not to threadjack, but could you make me some round s90 style badges that say 550 on them?

Looking good. Stance on the bike looks spot-on IMO

I've got a '79 650 and haven't switched to rearsets. I like my legs underneath as I don't have much padding on the seat and it's nice to stand up over train tracks.

thanks.  it turned out pretty close to the inspiration bike.

we went a different route by adding in the spade and i couldn't be happier.   might not be 100% legal, but its bright and i feel safe with it.

Thanks for clearing that up bud.

I wasn't sure what else to call a cafe racer with a raked neck that was slammed in the back.

You mean lowered in the back? LOL

That was a little tongue in cheek mate but until you have that bike running well i wouldn't be riding it like that. It sounds like you have no baffle in and the carbs are needing a tune up.  Why weren't you changing gears.?

I put 110 jets in it and it runs much better.   Still have some tuning to do.   I wanted to try and get it past more than half throttle in such a short distance.   I did shift a few times.  Just wanted to see where the bog is at.
