even if it doesnt perform as good as a well tuned set of carbs, the cool factor makes it way better than anything else.

It won't idle and I think the idea of fuel return pills is funky but......it does look cool. ;)

since you guys brought it up....  has anyone retrofitted a CB750 for street with any kind of fuel injectors??

I do remember RC Engineering having the Hilborn's back in the 70... awesome looking!

That setup worked well for running methanol in my pal's laydown dragbike. Once we got a decent baseline established, they were easy to adjust - change the fuel return pill as the weather changed. We ran a relatively low pressure to keep the pump alive, but that's another story. Fuel volume (2.2 x gasoline) certainly wasn't an issue. We had a really smooth idle, no surging to speak of, and remarkable acceleration. For that application it was unbeatable and I'd put them up against any carbs built. Of course we really had only 3 running points of concern - idle, stage rpm, and WOT - and I wouldn't recommend it for my daily driver... ;D ;D ;D

Thats a very informative thread, i wonder how hard that would be to adapt to my 1000cc K2.
I would just love to have it injected..... ;D
