My "new" CB750 K4

Here it is...my "new" CB750 K4.  It was a real "find."  I am worried I may have bitten off more than I can chew.

Veeerryyy Cool....looks like it's been pulled out of the dusty archives after 35 years of waiting...uncovered.   Can't wait to see what she looks like on the inside!

I am a little scared to say the least to see what it looks like on the inside.  The bike was put away with a full tank.  The gas has since "solidified" and has a horrendous smell to it.

Also, it has only been sitting for 24 years.  The last tag on the plate is from 1985.  Let the good times roll.

Fresh gas, fresh oil, new battery & clean contact points - I bet she'll start.

Are they integral cruising pegs on the crash bars ? Cool as *%£# !!

Yeah the pegs are built right into the crash bars.  I am debating what to do with them.

I think you either have to embrace them; glory in them (maybe fit a backrest/cissy bar combo too) and build the bike around them or you have to take them off and keep them safe somewhere.

Yeah it is either wool, or shag carpet.  It is so old I can't tell.  The soap and water application will happen Sunday, right after I do the brakes on my truck.

looks like just cleaning it will provide you with some inspiration to keep going. Very cool project! I think in this case a post cleaning pic is mandatory. nice score,Fergie

Ok, got some updated pics of some "junk" I have taken off.  Getting the bike stripped down to get the engine out.  Going to get it running, then strip it back down and do a full frame up restoration. 

This came off....


He it is, nakeder than ever...


And from the front...



Next weekend........THE ENGINE COMES OUT!

Got the engine out.  What a pain.

This is my super sophisticated engine stand (temporary though)



The dirty turd less one engine


And last but not least.  My DBO ingenuity really shows through in the "work bench" I made this morning. (Temporary also)
