Topic: Where to find a baffle for custom 4-1 '75 CB550 exhaust

Hey guys,

I'm new here...just picked up two '75 CB550's last week.  The running bike had the stock 4-4 exhaust and the parts bike had a custom/aftermarket 4-1 open exhaust so of course I threw the louder, cooler one on  

Anyways, it's a little too loud.  Is there anyone that makes custom exhaust baffles?  I don't believe it's a MAC exhaust, or I'd just call them up.

I've learned alot already just from lurking around.  Thanks for all the info!

You could make one from some mild steel.  I've seen the perforated steel at Home Depot that should work well.  Here's a link to a Yammie R-1 forum where some home made baffles were fashioned - it should get you started.  Good luck with your bike!
