Yes, yes but I can't find the decals to my bike. There is only model 1976 decals. Decals shape is same I think but colors not so if someone have good picture from the cb 750F 1975 tank it would help a lot.

They didn't have decals to model 1975 F but they can make these if they have good pics and colours. By the way is this F flake sunrise orange?: http://motos.anciennes.free.fr/lafour.html and then click F1. I think that it is but I'm not sure.
Is the colour same in the centre of the stripes? ( I mean backround of HONDA text).
Is the colour of indicators blue or ..?

Thanks!

I think the F referred to the 4 to 1 exhaust not the color.

Hi Dennis,

If you have good pics allover to bike so could you send thes to me or put these on this site. Have you paint your bike or is it original? How about decals? Bike is beutiful! Thank!
I have 1975 cb 750f but colour is wrong so I have to paint it and colour alternatives are this flake sunrise orange and candy sapphire blue. Am I right?

As I said above all original paint and decals. I'll have to look and see what other pictures I have. Bike is in winter storage right now. I can get you more detailed pictures if you need them but not sure when.
There were 2 colors that year ('75). The other one may have been blue, but I'm not sure.

Starlight Gold and Candy Gold are impossible to tell apart unless you can get both NOS next to each other---Now that would be a Holy Grail

Hi BryanJ

I've just read throught the threads and have found it all interesting and confusing. Here in Oz there appear to be K2's with the Candy Starlight Gold paint - I haven't been able to track one down yet, but I'm told by 'reliable' sources they are about.

Is it certain that the starlight colour only went on the 69/70 models?

Apologies in advance if this is an un-answerable question, and thanks for the helpful posts.

Cheers,

Neil.

Interesting topic.

I have started my own library in 2012.
All sets are painted by me.
It is not finished at all but every year I am able to add a few more colours.

You can find it here:

Can you do Candy Anteres Red from the US?
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

1976 UK 750 F1; Is this Candy Antares Red?

Interesting Jim. Your tank has the graphics and badges of a US model '77F2-'78F3. Is your tank stock for the Euro F1 or has it been changed?

Mike
Mike,
Good question! I was told that the bike had F2 decals, no mention of the tank being changed, but there are other F2 bits on the bike. I think it is the stock tank(did the later one look different?) in Candy Antares, I think the later bikes had Candy Presto red, but, do these two colours look different?
Jim.

If you look at the darker colored stripe that runs under the seat, that looks to be Candy Presto Red, while the tank looks to be Candy Antaras Red!

As a matter of interest, are the decals on a 500/550 stuck on over top of the colour\  black ( as in raised) or are the black and colour sprayed with the decal area masked so that the decal when fitted is flush with the surrounding paint? Then clearcoated? About to paint my 550 when the decals arrive, but need them to delineate the boundary of the black.  Easiest to just butt the black up to the colour and cover the join with decal, but would be neater if all was flush.

First colour (completely)
Then mask and black
At the end decals fitted
The lot finished with a very thin layer of clear.

Thanks for that. I was going to go to the trouble of making all the levels even, but that would involve a lot of fiddly masking and the possibility of it bleeding as well. This should be relatively simple, apart from getting the decal sitting nicely with no air bubbles. Can't wait, but unfortunately decals lost in transit.
