My grand introduction - hello all!
« on: September 11, 2009, 07:09:39 AM »
Hey everyone!

I'm Bugg, from Oregon.

My main ride is a '98 Suzuki Savage, but I'm a daddy's girl, and I since I moved out of ze house I missed tinkering around with things. So I bought a little '76 CB550 the other day as a project bike. It's in reasonable shape for it's age, was cheap, and I was able to ride it home without fears of being stranded by the side of the road (granted, now I can't get it started again, but I'll worry about that another day...  ;D ) I'm happy I found these forums, I'm sure they'll be a fantastic resource this winter as I give this bike the TLC it deserves.

It also (semi) has stripes, and that makes it faster still.

Welcome from Toronto. I had a CB550 many years ago and I really enjoyed it. I hope that you will also!

The forums here are great because of the many members who give you a ready helping hand. There is tons of experience with these SOHC machines in this forum. Look around and then just ask.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I'm purty sure it won't start b/c the idle screw is off, but when I run into more serious issues, I won't hesitate to ask!
