How long did it take to pull?

I can start with a fully assembled, running motorcycle, and have the engine on the stand in about an hour and a half.

Thank you for an amazing how-to post.

This is a shot in the dark but thought I'd ask anyway.  I am wondering if this was produced for forum members as I would not mind buying the hook? Will make life much easier than trying to find a shop to do it for me.

If anyone is interested I finally used a C-hook and made a YouTube video of pulling my motor with it.  Worked pretty good!  Needed different straps for install.  I have some ideas to use a ratchet strap, or bike tie down strap.

Let me know what you all think!

If anyone is interested I finally used a C-hook...

Thanks, that finally sparked my motivation and I modeled one up in Fusion. If my Static Stress Simulation is correct, we should be able to use 38" thick steel and have (at most) about 1.5mm of deflection out at the end (this was also with a load of 350 pounds). I'll check in with some Simulation folks that I know and double check my values tomorrow, and then it's off to some plasma shops to get a price on 1, 5 and 10

Current Project: CB750-K6 (hoping for OEM look)
Future Project: CB750-K8  (likely go wild on this build)

I scrounged up some 1.5" square tubing to make one from. Making the design so that it nests will save money for sure. Unless the shop is able to cut them out of material that would just be scrap anyway.

Cool glad I could inspire ya!!   My static load test was...  "I hope this holds!!".  Lol!  Worked good.
