550 and 750 rear shocks the same?

Are the 550 and 750 rear shocks the same? I'm not convinced the ones I just bought are correct for my 76 750K.

no. spring rates are different and the 550 shock is 12.5 inches eye to eye, the 750 shock is, i believe, 13.25 inches in length. if i'm wrong, someone please put in your 2 cents worth

750 is definately longer by about 1 inch. Aftermarket shocks ted to be made to fit both to save on stocking of parts

I put a set of CB900 shocks on my 550F.
Bolts right on about an inch and a half taller and stiff as hell.
