Hi
a friend owns a cb750 k1
He rebuilt carbs to honda mechanic..
Today we try to start bike..
It start first kick...i synchronize carbs and everythings looked fine...
But when i switch off engine i notice gas getting out from air filter(in the middle where the two plastic filter case meet)

Seems that the "Honda Mechanic" didn't rebuilt the carbs as he should. When the engine is running, fuel consumption matches -or so it seems- fuel supply, but when engine is off, fuel valve doesn't shut off and the fuel overflows and leaks by the intake and air filter.

Floats in the carbs are sticking. Could be dirt or worn float seat/valve. Did he replace the float seat/valve or just clean it? Good thing is you can take the bowl off and get at them without removing the carbs from the bike. Make sure your overflow tubes are clear. That is where the overflow of gas should come from.
