Please check sprocket pics & Comment

Not sure if this sprocket is worn to the point of replacement.

Would someone more knowlegable please wade in and comment if you can tell from these pictures,

Based on the second pic (which you should have posted as a reply here instead of starting a new thread btw) your sprocket looks slightly worn and slightly corroded.  I wouldn't say it HAS to be replace but if you're fitting a new chain than new sprockets (both) would be a wise investment.

How is it if you put the chain around it??  With the chain properly tensioned, how far away from the sprocket can you pull it??

IMO, its more the chain and sprocket at a pair and whether they are worn out as a pair.

In practicle terms ,  if I had a $150 DID super chain then I would toss the sprocket.  If I had a Brand X that my neighbor gave me in return for a full gas can, I would put it on the bike and hope for the best.
