I used rattle-can high-temp paint on my CB200. It held up great and would be easy to touch up if it got scuffed. I didn't have any problems with that until I dripped some brake fluid on there, the paint didn't like that.I just scuffed up the chrome and hit it with the paint.
Save up and do the powdercoating. You will never regret the wait. Had both rims and hubs powdercoated for $50.00.
How does that mechanical disc brake work on the 200? I grabbed a whole 200 front end from the salvage yard, & was wondering? (not thinking of using it on a heavier bike btw)
Found a couple of links for the Duplicolor Wheel Paints. Sounds interesting. Says the clear (WP103) is chemical resistant. Wonder if it will hold up to brake fluid and or gas?http://www.scratchfixtwo-in-one.com/products/wheel.htmlhttp://duplicolor.anthonythomas.com/projects/howto_wheel.html
I know how it works re actuation, What I meant to say was does it stop well, ie as good as a drum?.. better than a drum?.. no noticeaeble difference..etc..
What do you do to "scuff"up the rims?
