plug chopped with 110s and 120s go to 115s?
« on: September 15, 2009, 10:24:53 PM »
did a chop with the 110 that were in the bike. Bike was running fine but have never done a chop to verify conditions. The 110s were lean for sure.

figured i could jump up to 120s with no problem, besides that was the next bigest i had lying around. Before i tell you what i think, you tell me what you think.

Plug chopping is new to me but based on the performance change id say its rich. Acceleration felt flat compared to the 110s. Color to me is to dark also. It is supposed to be tan correct?

I've got 117.5's and they're spot on for the 592.

It looks like your emulsion tubes are possibly not 100% clean, due to the uneven carbon deposits on the insulator. The 120's do look pretty good, though.
No.

how does the uneven burn come from the emulsion tubes?

It gives an uneven mixture to the combustion chamber, as far as I understand it. Mark (Hondaman) has talked about this a few times.
No.
