so i had a stuck screw and hit it with the impact and snapped my tach cap. i was wondering if anyone sees a problem with me trying to jb weld it back together. As long as it will still seal properly will it hurt anything until i get a replacement?

As long as it didn't break across the surface where the oil seal sits I don't see why some JB weld wouldn't work.

Look on ebay, too, for the whole valve cover.  If you can find an ugly one for cheap, that may be a good route to go.  Then you can just take the part off that you need.

I just remembered I have a spare valve cover for a 550 in my garage. :)  PM me your address and I'll send the tach drive gear housing to you.  It still has the oil seal in it, which should still be in good shape.
