CB750SC main fuse blowing
« on: September 16, 2009, 07:48:41 AM »
Hey Guys, I know this is not a SOHC bike but maybe something will ring a bell with my issue! I have a 1982 CB750 that blows the 30 amp main fuse under the left side cover as soon as I turn the ignition switch on. I really haven't checked anything yet but I was going to remove the fuses between the handlebars one at a time to try to isolate the cicuit that's at fault. I have a wiring diagram but it's really small and hard to read! Does that sound logical? Suggestions would be awesome!  Thanks

Sounds like it's between the main fuse and the fuse panel.  Take a good look for wires rubbed through or pinched.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

test the switch itself too for internal shorts
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.
