hey guys, i'm brian and just happen to stumble upon this site from another forum i found. i have been lurking for a bit and decieded to post some pics of my scoot i have been building for awhile. picked it up for a small fee and got to work the night it came in the garage..-lol same old story there huh guys.. i stripped it down into a million pieces, so i can make this bike mine -blood,sweat and tears... would love to hear from ya guys what you think of my build PRO'S and CON'S.. sometimes cons help the mind when they are over there head in a huge build.. they tend to lose focus.. well me anyways. love the bikes you guys have on here and will try to help out in any knowledge that i know that will benefit someone else. ok here are the pics of the build.. i have been on this for awhile so sorry for all the pics at once, i just want to get you guys up to date from when i got it.. enjoy

hoo, i really don't know which tank to use in this build. i like the look of both tanks on the bike, but i trying to see which tank has a smoother angle.. as far as knowing what i am doing..this is a first time for me just pretending it is a gaint model i am putting together

Tough call, the blue tank seems like it would flow better with the tail you have on the bike in the truck. However if you choose a different tail the non-painted one could work better. Just my opinion so..

not sure if i am going to go with the 750 or the 350 tank as of yet. need to pull some dents out of each..

got the racing mumbers painted on the tail and on the final stages of the wiring harness.. holy wire!!!

well, it's been awhile since i last posted and still at it. finally managed to lace and true the wheels. i got some nice bridgestones on there, but i must say i rather lace/true a wheel over mount tubes/tires. i clearcoated the seat base and had the old man make the seat. still have some wiring left, but should be done in about a month's time. here is a recent pic of the progress.

been awhile since i last posted, but have been working on it when i can.. i am stuck with what to do with the color of the tank. any ideas??? here is a pic of where i am at.

Say, I noticed in your before shot you have a 400F clutch cover...then the 350F clutch cover in later shots. What's the story?

it came with a 400f motor in it, but i wanted to go through it first. i dumped in the 350 for now til next year

I would think, either Red to match the tail, or Silver to go with the racing number painted on the tail.

Looks great slapi! I've just started a similar project 7/72 model CB350F and I can hardly wait to get to the stage you are at! What rearsets did you use there? Are they mounted on the passenger peg mount? Whats the riding position gonna be like? Pics please!!!

well i am doing the electrolysis on the tank as we speak and then shooting the tank with paint tomorrow. i will get a pic of me on it shortly. i am pretty tall, so i figure the rearsets there should be pretty comfy. not sure on long trips, but i still have somewhat my youth. -lol i thought about running the stock location, but my knees were in my forearms. yeah they are one offs done on a lathe and wanted round stock for a different look. here's a pic of them and some other pics of the build. sorry for the being late.

not quite sure what to do with the battery box and the front fender.....hmmmmmmm

Looks like the motor must have been solid...you jsut cleaned her up and painted...that's always a money saver (no rebuild).

Probably too late, but I vote for matching red on the tank, and front fender..(IMHO, get rid of the front fender).

Cool stuff! Are you keeping this, or selling it to fund another project?

nope not too late. at work right now painting the tank red.. -lol yeah this is a keeper.. but i do want to build a board tracker after this. i like the fnder, but at the same time i am thinking about just running the brace. not sure hopefully i have enough time to put the clear on and take a qiuck pic.
