Where Do These Springs Go?
« on: September 16, 2009, 07:57:23 PM »
I took apart the rack carburetors from my 77 cb750k the carbs with the accelerator pump. I gave a very thorough cleaning. Now reassembling them I have two springs that I am not sure how they connect to the parts they belong to.
The spring with the large diameter is related somehow to the bar that the throttle bodies are screwed to (the link set).
The spring that has the smaller diameter belongs somewhere by the throttle cable plate.

If anyone could take photos or give me some very detailed instructions on how these connect I would really appreciate it.

Spring on the left looks like it goes on the choke rod.  It connects the two halves of the rod between carb 2 and 3. Spring on the right looks like the throttle return spring.  Connects to main thotle rod to the plate on the engine side of the carbs between carb 3 and 4.  This should be obvious as there is a hole on the plate and a notch on the thottle stop on the rod.  The choke spring is more tricky.

This is the best picture I have.  You can see the ends of the spring and where they hook.
