Healing up nice....
« on: December 05, 2005, 06:29:25 PM »
well, since my wreck I have pretty good use of my left hand back, a metal plate and I'm on my way!!!  I can actually grab a clutch again.  Now I just need a bike, I think I've decided to buy another one with the insurance settlement.  Maybe start riding again in Feb.  Thanks for your previous help you guys!!  A quick pic of the hand, pretty nasty if you ask me...

Can't disagree. Keep up the healing and good luck getting back on some wheels.  ;)

I have had some killer pinky scars (damn they itch) in the past from some very dumb things I did and I might have a solution that will help the scars fade a bit.

First is the Vitamin E deal, which I am sure you are well aware of. Second is a surgeon that can help make the cuts cleaner after they have healed, making a much tighter suture than was originally possibly that will result in a very thin line.

War scars are cool too though. Sometimes the chicks really dig them.  ;D I wish you luck with your recovery.

Oh yea stay out of the sun until it fades pretty good too. Sun can make them irratated and fairly visable. Dont let'em tan. They really itch then and set in like a 90 weight stain in your sunday best.

The only solution for big ropey scars that are over sensitive is to go under the knife with a skilled surgeon. I used to have a real killer on my right knee when I had the knee cap replaced back in the days of meat cleaver surgury. Now the scar it about the size of a dime.  ;D

welcome back!

though my avatar doesn't show it, i've stopped wearing the brace as of this week - and the cast is gone of my hand...

my thumb scar isn't quite as delicious as yours, leo, but i can't bend it a bit! it's like having a piece of sawed off broomstick attached to my hand  :D  it'll be a while before i can apply the brake, but like you, i am raring to go.

lucky me it's 13 degrees here and plenty to fix up on ole blacky before the spring thaws us out here.

keep us posted,
junkie...

Leo, good to see you back and regaining your health.
OK, you two (Leo and junkie) keep on healing and back on those bikes as soon as the weather is good enough.

Damn man they stapled your ass it looks like! At least you are on the road to recovery. Course if you were in a chair, you could get a trike yet! Its not 2 wheels but is still better than 4!
