changed my fuse box
« on: September 19, 2009, 08:21:02 PM »
ok so i ordered a new fuse box for my 76  cb 550f. my stock fuse box has 5 fuses 3 that work and 2 spare. The new i ordered is set up different. it has a female end instead of a male end. So i cut the plug off and  and put new clamps on. plugged it in and works fine. I went for a ride and about 10 mins in , it started to run funny. it seems to be either getting to much gas or too little.  does anyone know if this has anything to do with the fuse box or is it the carbs or possible gas line clog.

Fuse box affecting fuel flow is a stretch.  Assuming you are talking about a 70's SOHC Honda, there's nothing electric in the fuel system until you get to the spark.  Sounds to me like you have your fuse box sorted now, AND a brand new, fresh out of the box, problem to solve.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.
