Some of you might find this offensive....
« on: December 06, 2005, 12:07:47 AM »
But I saved this image off ebay about a year ago...It's a kind of "fark you man, I'll do it my way"...Can just imagine some dude with aviator sunglasses on, hair streaming in the wind on the highway knowing he's the fastest thing on wheels in a straight line...I wonder where the bike is now and what it looks like?

Lol.......sorry to dig up an old post but after seeing this I had to post some pics of my H1 Kawa that I rescued. The guy must have been related to my neighbor.

This is what it looked like when I took possession of it.

And this is it now........on hold for the time being. Engine is gonna need a complete rebuild. It has been stored since '81-82 and I figure the seals are shot in the motor. First thing I did was take all the chopper stuff off......and on ebay it went. I managed to get a set of stock forks from a guy in Tn for the price of shipping. Its not in bad shape really......only has 2999 miles on it.

Bill,

Comes from having to part an old Suzy GS400 out because I couldn't get the POs mother to let him know I wanted a waver on the title so that I could put it back on the road.  Now I have all these Suzy parts in boxes. :-\

 James,

Oh yes, I totally understand. I have a buddy who worked with a bike shop that had a salvage also and they bought a bunch of bike and parts from a medium size motorcycle repair shop that had closed down. Well, after they bike shop got what they wanted, my buddy could do whatever he wanted to with the rest. I helped him get what he wanted and He gave me what I wanted out of what was left. I got 2 CB450s, a CB500T(w/a CL450 engine) and a 77' CB550K Honda, 4 XS650s, an 80' SR500 and 2 monoshock DT175s Yamaha, a TS185 Suzuki. I also got a CB500K engine (complete except for carbs), misc wheels, some forks, front brake master cylinders (mostly Hondas) and some other misc parts. Keep in mind that the motorcycleseach need alot of work and a lot of people would use them for parts. I believe that I can bring some of them to life though. Of course they won't be restorations. I almost had 3 CB350Fs (in pitiful shape) but, they could have been cafe racers or whatever. I just hate seeing motorcycles in such sad shape and rotting away. there were also some SL & CB350s in various stages of disrepair. If I'd of had more room and my wife would have been more understanding---. As it is, with what I picked up and what I've bought over the last  5 or 6 years, (only one is running, 9 have motors that are free, the rest that have motors are locked up) I've gathered up about 35 at last count. I've got 4 in my  12 x 14 storage building along with a variety of parts, 8 under a swingset frame (with a tarp over it), 4 in my 1-car garage along with shelf units, parts, toolboxes, air compressor and the rest are under what's called a portable 12 x 20 canopy with tarps enclosing it. I'm just a sucker for a bike whether disabled or running. Way too much time spent on me, Later on, Bill :-[

I did stop this one Grum...... The PO was actually proud of his creation  ;D The whole time I was trying to get the bike off of his property he was trying to tell me what I was gonna have to do to mount the highway bars and sissy bar back on the bike. I was saying to myself......look dude...just let me get this thing home so I can get all this crap off of it. I started buying stock parts for it just to get it out of its misery and the thing doesnt even run yet.

He had the seat bungee'd to the frame  ;D He did that to it right after he bought it new....said he didnt like the look of a crotch rocket. The stock seat....that is back on it in the bottom pic.....is basically a NOS seat......cherry Im talking.  ;D

KC, I just can't believe that someone would do that to a mighty MACHIII Kawasaki. I know it's
not a Honda SOHC4 but, you gotta admit that these suckers were born to run! Right after they
came out, I saw an article in a bike magazine (I think I have it somewhere) where a stock crated
H-1 was taken to Lions Drag Strip in Calif, uncrated, serviced, put out on the strip and turned 12.7
ET. Then, Put it up against a Sportster and blew the wheels off of it. And then someone does this
to one. KC, I know you'll take care of it. Later on, Bill :) ;)

That is gross.

I had one of the original drum braked Mach 111s in 1970.

It handled woefully, with those forks, I hate to think.
