well, you guys are certainly lucky, none of that cool go fast stuff was available in italy...... the 750 was always regarded by the typical short stature Italians as a big bike for German/Scandinavian types.

I think that a very interesting option for you could be to use the coils from a subaru impresa turbo, they use the same arrangement as japanes bikes i.e. twin double ended coils. you could even use the whole management system if you wanted, it has all the stuff to control a high power turbo motor.... just an idea
I often replaced twin and four cyl bike coils with subaru items, they really woke up a lousy running BMW of a friend
