need help adjusting float height on a cb350f

i have the clymers manual and the shop manual but for some reason it seems like jiberish to me

they are either saying adjust the float arm or the float or the float tang

anyone got any pictures or something because i can't seem to comprehend

The part you adjust is the little metal tang that makes contact with the valve.  You just bend it to set the correct height.

You're not required to have a running bike to come to a garage day.  Obviously we'll have to give you crap for it, but we'll still let you hang out and have a couple of beers. ;)
