Pics of a shark themed gas tank?
« on: September 19, 2009, 05:55:48 PM »
I remember seeing a thread here that had some great shark themed
gas tank ideas. I remember that the guy also had a shark themed jet-ski too..

Anyone know what i am talking about and/or have a link to this thread?

That is my jetski with the Shark teeth ,but i didn't have any tank ideas. Sorry. I did have a car grill with teeth on it and I was going to put some on the bomb I made but never got around to it.

Thats the Bomb...   LOL.

But seriously, Thanks for the response. I think that jet-ski is pretty Rad..
I bought this extra tank for my cb650 and i am thinking it would be cool
to shark it out a little. That, and airbrush some gills on the side covers..

All the while, retain my stock tank and covers ro be able to switch it out if
wanted.

I just stripped the tank but I need to media blast it to remove some slight
rust issues it has.

I'm guessing the original is from the Curtis Warhawk, flown by the (U.S) Flying Tigers in China (forgive me if my history is wrong):

fighter planes were my inspiration for my jetski. Thats why I put a pinup girl and some kills on it.

I will most definatly post pics as that project is under way. I have stripped the old paint and now I think it needs some sort of blasting to remove some rust on it's exterior.

There is also some rust on the inside that needs to be treated. I'm worried that some sand from blasting will get into the tank, because where it needs it the most is by the filling area.
