How much does your cafe racer or racer weigh?

Inspired by power to weight ratio post. How much does your cafe racer or racer weigh?

I was always curious about the weight of my two cafe bikes.   Did all that time and money (well only a little money)  make a difference.  So I grabbed a couple of bathroom scales and decided to find out.  I centered a scale under each wheel and added the numbers.   I checked the scale method vs. my own body weight and it seems pretty accurate.  I think I might head over to a commercial scale down the street to know for sure.

Cb550 with a ½ tank of gas and all fluids: 330 lbs.
Cb350 twin with 1 gallon of gas and all fluids:  295 lbs.

How about yours?

I don't have a cafe racer ....yet!
I do have an extra CB500 complete chasis and a couple of extra engines in various states so I may have one in the future.

What I would like to know is, how did you manage to get a CB550 down to 330 pounds?

What's the best way to get an accurate weight of a bike?  I've thought about going to a gas station with a truck scale, but I've wondered if the bike would weigh enough to give an accurate reading on one of those.

If they have certified scales, they should be able to give you a weight.  Got nailed one time for being 150 lb over on the tandums on the trailer, not enough air in the lift axle. ;D  Wost part was I was under weight on the stearing and the drives. ::)

The two scale method ain't so great.  .....
So Dennis best way to get your 550 to 330 lbs is to weigh it incorrectly. ::) ::) ::)

I went to my local dump ..... and the nice lady weighed my bike.  From her reaction, I think I am not the first.   She said the scale had to be accurate to the pound . . .

So cb550 370  lbs.   ........

Anyone else?

I am so disappointed ..... the thought of a CB500 (mild - not extreme) cafe which weighed less than my Yammie RD350 had me drooling. O well, I knew it was too good to be true.  :(    :'(

It's no secret that there are some people with RD's here. I know Glen has one (a 400 I think) and I have the RD350 and the RZ350. And I forgot to mention the R3 (1969 - 350).
