Hi everyone; my name is Graham, I live in Bendigo, Australia,
here are a few photo's of my recently completed K1 Cafe Racer, it has 836 kit, Russ Collins camshaft; conrods and exhaust, kibblewhite valve springs, titanium retainers, racing camshaft sprocket and camchain, CR Carbs. Hotrod Carpy guage faces, Read Titan gauges, Dunstall Clipons, Guilarni seat from italy.
Cats face tail light, sissy bar, all engine covers finned as well as breather cover, engraved rocker cover, Japan Industrie mag wheels, twisted steel side stand, progressive front suspension, 2 inch over front tubes, Dresda box section swingarm, damper valves in forks, Paul Dunstall Clipons, rear sets of unknown manufacturer, all black parts powder coated, all nuts, bolts, springs and silver parts chromed this cost dollars, lockable oil filler cap, Lockhart Oil Cooler.
Countless items too many to list but all hard to find and rare.
Every piece of bike was purchased individually off Ebay and net.
Taken approx 2 years of work and countless $1000's of dollars.
The first pic is of the engine as originally found YUCK
rest of pics are of completed bike.
Only need tuning and road registation.
I am going to try and get a Private Number Plate it will be: R SOUL
Not that I am, but it will attract Some attention.

I like the colour and you do have some cool parts  - love the wheels and the swingarm  ;)...however the bike would look 100% better if you lost the sissy bar. At the moment it looks like a cross between a 70`s chopper and a cafe racer. What function is the sissy bar for? Camping or something? Get a big tank bag instead  ;)

Most importantly though how does it ride?

Has learned so far that..."complete" gaskets are never complete no matter where you get them, VHT Silver Case Paint is just as durable as painting your motor with chalk and cheap tire irons used with rim protectors are useless on 30 year old tires.

A little too busy for my taste but I do appreciate the time/effort/money that went into that project.  How much steering can you get with the clip ons so close to the tank?

You are obviously way to close to japan where their love for the insane sissy bars is rubbing off on you. Like everyone else has said the bike looks good but the bar is killing it. Its like dating a super model but making her wear the amish clothing.

In this case, I think the extended forks will make up the needed trail for that small front wheel...
Nice detailing! I like your Honda wing on the tank. Is that a gas gauge on the cap? Love the color!  :)

How's that seat? It looks like a good idea, with enough room to scoot around a bit when the cafe cramps want to set in on a longish ride. Looks like it has some padding, which crotchety old guys like me appreciate.  :D

It has a spirit all of it's own - even if it is confusing the genres a little -if it's a good ride, that's what matters most.

The bike is not my taste but if you love it then roll with it.

I love the chain guard.  The engine fin-guards look really nice.  Love the velocity stacks.  I love that you left the front fender alone - that's usually the first thing to get cut.  Those passenger pegs are cool.  Looks like you got the CR carbs - cool!  You and I have the same gas cap, except yours is nicer.  I like the dual front disc brake setup. 

It's unique, that's for sure.

What are the two extra gauges you got there?

I think the whole concept of a cafe racer style with an insane sissy bar is super-cool.

Those Read Titan guages are the epitome of class.

Nice work.  Your clip ons look like they're too pulled in for good leverage, I know I've been there.  If the reason you have it that way is because the space is getting taken up by the stock type banjo to the m/c (though I can't see that) just do a direct connect to the m/c to get more room.

I'm not going to go into the sissybar, which would be like being the 50th guy in line for a gang bang.

Lots of great work and time went into that bike for sure....but do the bars hit the tank?! How far can you turn from lock to lock?

if absolutley want to keep the sissy bar u should bent it back so that the angle of the bar matches the angle of the forks
