If the writer is doing a re-write maybe he will give up... if they picked Keanu f'in Reeves to play Spike who the heck will they pick to play Faye?  Wait nvm... I don't want to know... that is just BS... It'll be like the first Hulk movie or the final fantasy spirits within movie... pretend it didn't exist...life goes on.

Don't know much about the anime world but whoever told Keanu "f'in" Reeves he could act should go back to scripting bad porn. No way!  Duuude WAY!!!!

In talkbacks people have brought up Joseph Gordon-Levitt cast as Spike.
Viewing his latest roles I think he would be a much better fit for the character.

Reeves would blow in this role, Spike deserves way better.

Keanu Reeves is as believeable an actor as Kevin Costner was as Robin Hood with a Brooklyn Accent  :D

For those that haven't seen the anime.... its hard to get the full impact.  To really simplify things...


Spike Spiegel.... gunslinger, bounty hunter, crack shot, ladies man, clever, carefree, and as you would find out later in the series... secretive


Keanu Reeves..... not so much....


I didn't even like the Bill and Ted's excellent adventure movie.  I never liked Keanu Reeves as a person or as an actor.  He is annoyting has a high nasal voice and can't act to save his life.
