New guy to the world of Honda CBs.
« on: September 23, 2009, 08:44:40 AM »
Hi, I just bought a 1982 CB650 off a coworker of mine. I'm new to the entire process of restoring/building motorcycles. Actually I'm new to the motorcycle game, since this happens to be my first bike. I was on here originally looking for tips to get the bike running correctly and repair some minor damage, and saw that this was the place to go to swap info, trade/buy/sell parts and mainly anything to do with the CBs. I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon this site and hope this profile serves me well on my project. Have nice day, all.

I actually passed that service center on my way to a friends house in Hammond. I thought it was just some sort of dealership. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, should come in handy in the near future. No, i don't have any pics to post yet but I will get them on here soon.

I think the difference is that they are much bigger into online Genuine parts sales than others. I dont know that they would have the same discount pricing for store sales. The nice thing about online sales is click... click... click... and the parts show up on your doorstep in a few days. Saves two trips and convincing the parts man that you DO have a 27 year old CB.  :)

Heres another one, in Indy, lots of used parts also available but not listed:

I expect you started at the front page, manuals and such:

and found the Forum FAQ:
