Not much of a firework display anyway Sam. But it is good to know roughly where peeps are from.

Having said that even in the UK peeps can have different meanings. It became popular in the 80's when a comedian used it often "ello peeps". In Scotland it is sometimes used as part of an expression of surprise "Jeezy peeps" this expression is often used along with "Jings crivens, help ma boab" for  more shock surprise.

Peeps has a couple of different meanings here in the states.  Of course there's the common usage meaning "people", but then there's the more delicious version! :)  Oh, and there's plenty of fish and chip places here in Denver, but so far only two that I've found are any good.
