tappet adjustment??

ive got the theory of how to adjust the clearences, ive got the tappet covers off....and now i'm not sure where i should be measuring for the .08mm clearances?!


is it between the very bottom disk part and the arm because mine looks to have about 1/4 inch room rite now..please help

The bottom of the screw that you turn to set the clearance is what comes in contact with the top of the valve stem, and that's where you measure.  You can't actually see the spot with the valve cover on, but you can get your feeler gauges in there.

What bike? On my Nighthawk you measure between the rocker pad and cam lobe.
