If you ever had someone take your seat pin out so they could take your batt, helmet, ect.
Here is a trick to stop it . Take the pins out of a door hinge and tread one end so you can put a plastic coated nut on it. works great.

Good looking side covers are something you should worry about, have read a couple of posts how guys "secure" them against theft and blowing off the bike.Worked in ST. Louii when I was trucking been never been to KC. Every town has their bad side. Up here in Michigan the Casino's are owned by Indians and they have a real good security staff, don't ask but yes I do still have my scalp ;D ;D

Which casino?  Ameristar?  I would be most scared of Isle of Capri

Take the pins out of a door hinge

You know, I just read about this tip on the forum recently, and I went out into the garage last night and took a caliper to things.

I'll be damned if the hinge pin for a standard US interior door hinge isn't the EXACT diameter of a Honda seat pin!

Door hinge pins flair slightly just below the head in order to lock themselves in place, but they still fit right into the hinge on the frame perfectly.  The ones I looked at (brass) have slightly thinner heads on them that the standard Honda part but other than that they are exact and look like they were made to go there.

Cut them down to your required length and then either thread the end or drill a cross-hole (or both!) and you're in business.  These are very inexpensive, available in various colors and materials, and readily available.  Great tip!

Man, I just got back from Home Depot.

I'm using ground down 6mm bolts.

OH well something else to add to my list.

Thanks for the tip
