I just picked up a 16 inch Harley rim from a member on here and when I recieved it I was a little dis-appointed. Man is it small compared to the 18 I have on there now.
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Pictures\clevlands 550.gif I hope this pic helps. This is the look I am trying to achieve. If you guys have any opinions or pics on how you balanced it out please help
thx

I'm running a 16" rear on my K8 now.

4000 mile trip and I liked it just fine.

Very nice bike! What size did you go on the 16? My thought was a 130-90- 16

I really like the look of a 16" rim. I've laced two so far. Very pleased.

I am happy with the 16 on the back.

Here comes the big one:  Most of us will not be able to access the image on your computer.  If you want me to get it, it will mean I have full access to everything else on your computer as well.

I have been quite happy running a 16".

Ran a Bridgestone Spitfire 130/16 on a stock 550 and loved the way it handled.

This Firestone has a bit higher sidewall and is a bit squishy in the corners, but love running the 16" just the same.

What is the purpose of a 16" rear wheel?  Aesthetic?  Comfort?
Is it summer yet?

I think the 16 in rear wheels look great... There is just one problem.

The 19 in front now looks real stupid.......

16 inch wont lower it much, usually less than 1/2 inch.
Will sure change the look tho, and get more rubber on the ground..

Hey all, 30 years ago I had a spoke 16 rear stock front on my 73 750k.  Till some drunk chic hit me, bent rim so I bought a 16 in.comstar, back then I took like a strong 1/8th inch off the brake drum ran great and yes no brake issues did the same to sisters 74. Then I bought another comstar off ebay cheap I  run a 130 90 16 tire lowwers bike a good bit and  yes more rubber on the pavement.  and it came with the stock hub, so no need to grind off the hub lip. I also run a 19 inch comstar on the front. total bolt up no mods needed. They were stock for the 81 750 custom
seven fifty four ever its not the destination its the journey Ive been collecting these old dinasours for 33 years . they are quite an ICON

Thanks man...this tank is 4" diameter by 9" wide, and is actually a fake oil tank to hold my electrics. I just finished another similar tank for my 750 which is a bit larger to bring the volume up to where it needs to be.
Cheers!
