I just wanted to share these 2 things and get out of here, I'm going through another spell where I am making myself pack up Brenda's clothes and things (that I have no idea what I'm going to do with). I want SOMEONE to get some use from them, buit I don't like the idea of seeing someone else IN THEM though, don't know if I can handle that. Anyway, here's what I wanted you all to see and read:

I would rather have a little
rose from the garden of a friend,
                                 "Than flowers strewn around
my casket when my days on
                           earth must end."
I would rather have a living
smile from one I know is true,
" Than tears shed 'round my
casket when this world I bid Adieu.
                                   "Bring me all the flowers
today whether pink or whit or red,
I would rather have one blossom now
than a truckload when I am dead."

I laid that out exactly like it is typed on a small piece of paper that I found in Brenda's things.  :'(

                           Also, I found this:

(a card, that simply has a butterfly and a cocoon on a small branch and this saying)

                                              Life is
                                                  Fragile

                                                  Handle with
                                                       Prayer

Good stuff Bill.  Sounds like Brenda knew her priorities and how to approach life.
But I need Tacos!  I need them or I will explode!

That is beautiful.

As far as her clothes go, perhaps there is a local charity that could use them to help someone in need. In my area there is the Susan B Anthoney House where battered women are sheltered and cared for. Just a thought.

Thank you for that. But I just posted it, Brenda was always coming up with sayings, phrases, poems, scriptures and such. We used to keep an eye out for the phrases that you see out in front of churches and look for the unique ones. Some are really pretty catchy and yet, hit home! ;) Brenda was, indeed, a "Special Lady"! 8)

Yeah, I was thinking of the Goodwill, Salvation Army and such as that. There are some clothes that are new and some that are nearly new. Then, there aresome that have a very special meaning to me and she REALLY enjoyed wearing them! I just don't think I can handle seeing someone else wearing those particular clothes and yet, I don't want to just keep them either. Somebody needs to get some use out of them. It's just something I'm going to have to come to grips with. ;)

          Gordon, My Pleasure! ;)

I'm sad that Brenda's gone, but if there is anything that I post, that HELPS anyone in ANY way, It makes me proud that I might have helped anyone! 8) I knew life was precious and that we need to make the best of the time we have, but it DIDN'T REALLY hit home, til July 1st! And that's why I urge everyone to do something EXTRA for their spouse (anything, some flowers, candy, card, etc, for no apparent reason).

You guys are making me all teary-eyed, but in a good way. :)  That's a great piece of advice, Bill.  I don't think enough people do the simple, little things often enough that let their partner for life know how appreciated and special they are.  I probably don't often enough, but I try.

After being by my wife's side for the entire 24 hours of her labor during the natural home birth of our son and seeing what she was willing to go through so that we could have a family, I know for a fact I could never do enough to show her how much she means to me.

Thanks medic, Really means a lot. 8)  I really tried to do right by Brenda and she would tell me that I didn't need to do anything special on days like Mother's Day and such, because I treated her special each and every day. I have to tell you, THAT made me feel REAL good! AND NOW, as I think about it, all I was trying to do was, let her know how much she meant to me. And I guess I must have done a pretty good job. She knew how to make me feel special too and it worked very well. In the last month, I've had some things happen that, sure seem like she had HER hand in it. ;) I won't elaborate. Just know that I'm getting to where I can handle things better more and more.

Just the thought, means alot and THAT's what some don't get. :)

I can identify with the natural childbirth deal. I went through the childbirth classes and was in there myself, She went through 12 hours of labor. My Mom said that I wouldn't be able to handle it because of the blood. :-\ Well, for ONE THING, when someone tells ME that I CAN'T do something................That's When I DO IT!! :D
(That's just the Hard Headed Dutch in me!  :D ) And, as far as the BLOOD THING, I was so into what was going on, with Brenda giving birth to Karla, I looked right at the blood and the afterbirth and all and didn't even phase me! ;) in fact, after Karla was gotten ready, I carried her to the nursery, where she woke up ALL of the babies and then SHE went to SLEEP! :o ::) I went back to Brenda and told her, "We're in BIG trouble, uh huh! uh huh! :D

Very thoughtful on her part. I would suggest donation to a women's shelter.

Send or make arrangments to send to a goodwill store or shelter , in another (not neighboring) town.. then it will help you out & someone else..
