They always have bike night at the East Gate Quaker on Tuesdays  I ve been out there some nights after work because it is close to home!
Cappy,
Bike night started up alright, it was packed. I'll be there again this Thursday, (weather permitting) What part of Cincy are you in? P.M. me, maybe we can ride up there together.

Anybody up for a ride this weekend? I'm thinking a ferry ride to Augusta, then some Northern KY back roads.

I'd like to ride, but I'm afraid I'll have too much to do around the property to spend any real time on a ride.

How about a ride tomorrow? Taking the ferry to Augusta, and having lunch, then riding back up through N KY.

September 25, and 26  the Classic British Motorcycle Club of Cincinnati has their annual show and swap meet at the Boone County Fairgrounds. Lots of great European bikes, even a Jap class.

$6.00 to get in, I went today, and there were a lot of bikes on display even though the judged show is tomorrow. I'm going to trailer my 750, and 500T there tomorrow. 10am to 4pm, show at noon.

Sunday turned out good too, at least for me ;D My '76 CB500T won first place in it's class ;D
My 750 got a lot of attention, but the judges liked the 500 better.

Anyone from Cincy going to ride in the cross country Bike Rally!  I am hoping to do a leg from Indiana to Pa. depending on when the actual dates are. I know tentatively they are scheduled to come through the end of May. Let me know

Hey, Modzsquad, and yes, there are Cincy riders planning to participate. I'm in and so is Brown Bomber. There may be others and if they see this please post so we know who you are. Route details are getting sorted out and we are still a ways out from knowing specific hand-off dates. There are also riders in the Toledo, Cleveland, Dayton and Columbus areas.

It will likely be the case that some N/S riding will be part of the trip through Ohio was well as W/E.
Current Rides:

1975 cb750K
1967 Bridgestone 350GTR

Past Rides:

Glad to hear from you, eptesicus.  New bike and rider, hey, so you're just getting started with the fun. Yes, there are a handful of SOHC/4 riders here in the Tri-State.  Do you want to join the ride? For the Ohio section, it won't get to these parts for a couple months yet, maybe a bit more. If you were inclined, you could ride with Kentucky. I think there are only 2 Blue Grass riders so far, but the route goes through Lexington so you'd have to head south to hook up. From there, I think it goes to Louisville. But with so few riders it may be better for them to just go south from Lexington to Knoxville for a handoff there.

Anyway, stay tuned!

That all depends on my work schedule, as well as how comfortable I may be tackling a ride, like this one. Being a new rider, I don't want to get ahead of myself! I'm catching on quickly, but I don't want that feeling to cloud my judgment. I will definitely let you know when the time approaches. Thanks!

Yes, you don't want to get ahead of yourself being a new rider. You want to build your experience level and be safe all the time. Have you considered the motorcycle safety certification courses. I know they are in Ohio and I've heard very good things about them. They are run by volunteer bike enthusiasts in conjunction with the state (at least on this side of the river). It's an alternative route to getting a bike endorsement for your license.

Yes, sometime in April I plan on taking a course that is offered here in KY (I'm located just a few minutes south of Cincy). I cannot remember right now who it is through though. I would much rather learn from getting things thrown at me on a course (from experts), than learn from cagers. I have also heard good things about the Ohio courses, but doubt that I could get KY to honor the Ohio course for my license.
