500 Tank Badging

Does anybody know of an easy way to get the tank badging off. I want to smooth the tank, but cant seem to get the badges off without having to pry them. I'm concerned about denting the tank if I do pry them off. Any ideas?

I use a thin blade putty knife to get behind the badges without damaging the tank. You'll still have to pry them off.
