78K cylinder head intake size
« on: September 27, 2009, 08:49:09 AM »
Hey guy's, I would like to put a 78K head on my 76K. Can anyone tell me if the intake size is the same. My understanding is Honda changed the carbs on the 77-78's. Can I run the 76 rubbers and carbs? Any advantage to changing the carbs?
I am building a mild performance motor, 836 kit with cam upgrade.
Thanks for any input, I'm still learning!

Intake valves are the same size. The intake tract is the same volume too for the K. You can run the 76 insulators (carb boots). I'd use the 76 carbs as they are easier to tune for the 836/cam package
