Are these the wrong forks? Pics included.

As I was disassembling today I noticed that my forks stick up from the yoke about an inch. That can't be right, can it. Shouldn't they be flush?

it's fine, the previous owner lowered the front end.

Just jack up the bike loosen the upper and lower trees and push em down.
everything I say is pure speculation and
I have no idea what I'm talking about  ._.

I know, I took the bars off today and tried to put them the right way, but the fork bolts got in the way. The upper forks are rusted to hell too, probably because they have been sticking out about an inch!

use an impact wrench and a rubber mallet.

and some liquid wrench.

edit: if the bolts are fine then the liquid and impact wrenches are not needed.

So dropping your forks down thru your triples makes your forks rust? Well I'll be buggared! :o
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
