Hey all,

I am in the process of getting this bike completely road-able. It has an EPM wheel set with a Brembo rear disc set up. The rear caliper is a dual piston Brembo aprox. 1979 vintage. Anybody know where I might be able to source pistons and seals? It is working at the moment and no leaks but I would like to have new rubber bits and pistons if it needs them.

ANy and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

Can't see the images at work, but if it's a '79 vintage Brembo caliper your best bet is to google Guzzi or Ducati Bevel in the States.
It all depends if the caliper is a PO5, PO8 model (parts are easily available) or a PO9 model (parts are hard to come by). The new rebuild kits have Teflon coated pistons vs the old steel pistons, grease and the rubber seal.

Sir you crack me up!
I think I have snagged your eye a couple of times with my projects! I think you saw my Hayashi turd project too. lol.

I will keep posting pictures as it gets CLEANER! The condition it is in the picture is how it came out of its storage since 1985!!! Covered and indoor dry storage for 24 years.

Maybe you would like my last one too...

also try: http://guzzino.com/brembobrakes.html

It looks a lot like the F08 but mine has two bleeders and I assume twin pistons. I don't want to disassemble it until I know I can get replacement parts...lol.

It looks like bevelheaven has what I need I am just verifying 05 or 08 series. DAng the parts are even affordable compared to Honda bits.
Thanks again for your advice and good riding to you all!

By the looks of it, it's a P08 just measure the distance between the mounting bolts, P08 is 108 mm. P05 is around 80 mm.
Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.

What a great site! I've got a box full of Brembo calipers that need resto-ing (I'll be using 3 of them on my racer project) and I was wondering where I could get parts for them, now it looks like I can buy complete kits for them easy, so woohoo! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Also try:

Early F08s had two 6mm bleeders, now they have one 10mm bleeder.
