Wiring CB400F
« on: September 27, 2009, 12:36:46 AM »
Has anyone ever tried to simplify the wiring of the 400F? My bike is ready except for the wiring, which is giving me some headaches.

Honda wiring is pretty straight forward for all models, give us some of your problems and we'll see if they are a simple fix or not.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I'll try to make a picture later. My problem is that I cannot link all wires because of difference in color (of the wires).

They should be stock colours like Green=earth and Black=a wire only powered when the ignition is on.
Unless the PO had a bar-b-q in there at some time.
Red=power etc  etc Honda changed nothing between models that I can see so my 650 diagram would almost work for your 400f.

Try using the wiring diagram from http://oldmanhonda.com/MC/wiring350F.html
You can switch various bits on and off to simplify reading it.
