« on: February 08, 2011, 12:18:06 PM »
hello
I have a cb550 an I hate the round o ring float bowl gasket seems like most of the are little to big I wanted to see if the cb350 float bowl gaskets will work with the 550 float. lot of google searches for the float bowl gasket popped up with 350-550 but the 350 also have their own gasket preformed.

Bike Barn has quite a reputation here   :-X  Just a word of warning about those "shaped" gaskets.  I bought a set for my 350F from Sirius and they were too big.  I tried to stick them in the grooves with gasket sealer and you can read the about ensuing calamity in a recent thread I have here...  Then I tried to cut them to fit and they leak now...

For shaped gaskets I have held them in place with a simple glue stick, the stuff the kids see in school.

+1

Just did mine last night and getting those things to stay in place was causing more drinking than I needed (and it didn't help). I broke out the jelly and in the went. Works like a charm.
